1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CommuTube, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, registered or not.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CommuTube. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3 Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must:

  • Provide accurate information when registering.
  • Keep your password confidential and not share your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We protect your account with Argon2id password hashing, session fixation prevention, IP-based login location verification, and optional two-factor authentication. When you sign in from an unrecognised IP address, a verification code is sent to your registered email before access is granted. If you receive such an email without initiating a sign-in, treat it as a security alert and change your password immediately. Accounts created via Discord, Google, or Apple sign-in do not use a password; security for those accounts depends on the security of your third-party account. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA in your account settings and on any linked provider. You are responsible for the security of your own device and credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4 Content You Upload

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading, you grant CommuTube a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and serve your content to other users for the purpose of operating the service. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload it.

5 No Creator Payments

CommuTube does not offer monetisation, ad revenue sharing, or any form of financial compensation to creators. This is due to two material conditions of the platform:

  • We are, to put it plainly, broke.
  • The platform does not yet have sufficient users to generate meaningful revenue of any kind.

By uploading content you acknowledge that you will not be paid, tipped, or otherwise compensated by CommuTube. You upload in the true spirit of the collective — for the love of it. If this changes in the future, we will update these terms accordingly.

6 Prohibited Content

You may not upload or share content that:

  • Is illegal under applicable law, including copyright-infringing material.
  • Depicts or promotes sexual abuse of minors (CSAM). Such content will be reported to authorities immediately.
  • Constitutes harassment, threats, or targeted abuse toward any individual.
  • Contains malware, phishing material, or other harmful code.
  • Is spam or artificially inflates engagement metrics.
  • Impersonates another person or entity in a misleading way.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, without notice.

7 Prohibited Conduct

When using CommuTube you must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or another user's account.
  • Scrape or automate requests in a way that disrupts service for other users.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures.
  • Use the platform to distribute unsolicited commercial messages.

8 Content Removal and Termination

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these terms. Repeated or severe violations will result in permanent termination. You may delete your account at any time; your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

CommuTube is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Use the platform at your own risk.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CommuTube and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data or content.

11 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance.
